Therefore NASSCOM and IT-BPO industry have entered into a partnership and come up with a unique system called as the National Skills Registry. It is a database which contains verified knowledge about the different employees working in the IT industry. The entire system and the database are managed by NDML which is a part or a branch of NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited).
The main motive of National Skills Registry (NSR) is to provide verified information about all the employees working in IT sector. The information includes details like appropriate background checks, photograph and other useful information. This helps the companies or the clients to gather information about their employees and check their background status also. Biometrics are also incorporated to check the unique identification of the person.
NSR is not only beneficial for the companies but also for the clients, employees and the service providers. The chance of providing fraud information reduces as the details given by the employer are checked and verified.
Even companies also benefit a lot as they don’t have to check the background of every employee as the same is being verified by the NSR. Clients can also access the same information to ensure the genuineness of any employee.
Thus NSR has enhanced the security standards with more emphasis being given on customer satisfaction.
